How to play
Getting in is quick. Pick a name, customize your egg, and choose one of the four modes, then it is all about staying alive while dealing damage. Movement, shooting, reloading, and grenades are mapped to the standard FPS keys, and gamepad support is now built in if you prefer a controller. Collecting ammo around the map matters as much as your aim, since running dry mid-fight is a fast way to get cracked.

Game modes
The four modes change the pace and the goal, so it is worth trying each to find your favorite. Some reward lone-wolf aggression, others push teamwork and map control. King of the Coop, added in late 2021, even hands out a big golden egg payout to the winning side.

Weapons
There are seven main weapon types, each with its own strengths. Sharp shooters can pick off eggs from range with the Crackshot or Free Ranger snipers, while spray-and-pray players will feel at home with the rapid-fire Whipper. The EggK-47 is a reliable medium-range automatic, the Scrambler hits hard up close like a shotgun, the RPEGG delivers explosive damage, and the TriHard fires accurate bursts. Every player also carries a secondary gun and can grab grenades scattered around the map, so adapting your loadout to the situation is part of the skill. Tight corridors favor the close-range options while open stretches reward patient sniping, and learning which weapon fits each map keeps you from getting caught at the wrong distance.
Golden eggs and customization
The in-game currency is golden eggs, earned by playing and winning. You spend them in the shop on cosmetic upgrades for your egg and the look of your weapons. Importantly, none of the shop items give you a combat advantage, so the playing field stays level no matter how much you have unlocked. It keeps the fun in showing off a sharp-looking egg rather than paying to win.
